Romans is a book that is rich with encouragement, revelation and spiritual insight. It is Paul's letter to the church in Rome, the longest of his 13 letters and the most comprehensive and systematic presentation of Christian doctrine in all of Scripture. Paul's heart in this letter is for those who read it that they would hear the truth, repent, believe and be saved. Romans is Paul's greatest missionary letter, so buckle up and join us as we dig deep into this wonderful book throughout the year ahead.
Why did Jesus say what he said on the cross? Were these sayings the dazed mutterings of man in delusional pain, or did each one carry with it the weight of specific purpose? This series we look at some of the things Jesus said while hanging on the cross and explore why He said them and what they reveal about his nature and our future hope.
In the book of Haggai we see the people of God post exile building their houses but neglecting the house of God. The prophet Haggai comes to them and encourages them to consider their ways, to be strong and to work for the Lord. This series will examine the prophetic words of Haggai and encourage us to also consider our ways, to be strong and to work, knowing that Jesus is true to His promise that He will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
As we enter into this Christmas season, we are going to dive into a series we're calling, "Songs of Salvation." We are going to explore the various songs we see in the Scriptures sung by different people around the Christmas story. Our prayer is that as we do this, regardless of your circumstance, you will be reminded of all that God has done for us in Christ and, as Paul so beautifully puts it, "Be filled with inexpressible joy."
In Matthew 11, Jesus said, "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest..." There's something incredibly powerful the rest and hope God offers us in the love of Christ. This series will draw us back to the person and work of Christ, reminding us of his great love for us, that we might be renewed in our love for him.
Deuteronomy is not just an ancient book, a list of rules, or a constitution for the nation of Israel, but the record of the leader of Israel, Moses, preaching to God's people the grace God has shown them, and calling them to live that out in the land. At the heart of it, this book is not a book of law, but a book of grace. And this grace permeates throughout the pages of Scripture, showing a loving God calling his people to live in relationship with Him.
